We work with a wide range of metals in-house. Primarily, we have expertise working with aluminum, carbon steel and stainless steel in a variety of shapes and sizes. We can also accommodate many other metals, including:
Alloy steel
Armor plate
Brass
Hastelloy
Inconel
Titanium
Tool steel
Aluminum
Aluminum is a soft and malleable metal, which can be easily used as a lighter alternative to steel. The yield strength of pure aluminum is between 7-11 MPa, while aluminum alloys can have yield strengths ranging from 200 MPa to 600 Map. This means aluminum is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.
Mild and Carbon Steel
Mild and low-carbon steels are the most commonly purchased metals due to their low cost, plus their chemical properties work with many applications. These types of steel are ideal for instances when large amounts of metal are needed, and are generally easy to form.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel has more chromium than carbon steel, making it rust and stain resistant. Stainless steel comes in a variety of grades with different surface finishes made to withstand a multitude of environments.
